Jenny Lewis was born to parents who performed as Loves Way, a Las Vegas lounge act. Her parents split when she was three and she relocated to the San Fernando Valley with her mother, older sister and a babysitter who was a female Elvis impersonator. Lewis lived mainly in the Valley with periods in Eastside L.A., Nashville and New York, and now resides in the Valley when not touring. Lewis worked as a child actor in films including Troop Beverly Hills and The Wizard and released five solo albums, including Joy'All (2023). She reunited with Rilo Kiley for a U.S. tour with scheduled Greek Theatre shows.
