"When L7 decided to release a documentary in 2015, we thought maybe we would take one last victory lap around the sun by playing some shows. Instead, that lap turned into eleven more years of touring, sweat, new music, and reconnecting with the fans who made this all possible in the first place. Looking out into the crowd seeing longtime supporters rocking out next to a new generation of L7 fans has been the most powerful and humbling part of this chapter."
"We are deeply grateful and ready to give our audiences one last, loud, fun, and hopefully unforgettable night of rock and roll."
L7, the influential '90s Los Angeles garage-rock band, is ending their reunion chapter that began in 2014 with The Last Hurrah Tour spanning the United States and Canada this fall. The band initially planned a brief victory lap following their 2015 documentary release but instead continued for eleven years, touring extensively and releasing new music. During their reunion, L7 released Scatter the Rats in 2019, their first album in two decades, and the documentary L7: Pretend We're Dead premiered in 2016. Singer-guitarist Donita Sparks expressed gratitude for reconnecting with longtime fans while attracting new generations of listeners, emphasizing their commitment to delivering one final memorable rock and roll experience before concluding this chapter.
