"Good news, everybody! Roselit Bone is once again returning to Oregon. The formerly Portland-based band ( read all about em right here) regrouped some time ago when bandleader Charlotte McCaslin and violinist Faith Grossnicklaus got married, moved to New Orleans, scaled it all back, and started selling custom vegan leather belts. They've stayed active as Roselit Bone, though, and in the last year or so have re-expanded the group (though not yet back to their grandiose pre-pandemic octet configuration) and kept up their Portland connections."
"This month their tour rolls through two stops in Oregon: October 7 at Lollipop Shoppe in Southeast Portland (with Railing and Cage Mother) and October 10 at Swan Hall in Willamina (with The Chill Hours). You probably know more or less where Lollipop Shoppe is, lurking as it does on the corner of Grand and Morrison right by the bridge and the I5 onramp, just a couple blocks away from legendary hole-in-the-wall late night Mexican joint Robotaco."
Roselit Bone is returning to Oregon after regrouping and resettling in New Orleans. Bandleader Charlotte McCaslin and violinist Faith Grossnicklaus married, moved, scaled back operations, and began making custom vegan leather belts while maintaining the Roselit Bone project. The group has re-expanded in the past year, though it has not returned to its pre-pandemic octet lineup, and has preserved Portland connections. The latest incarnation played Revolution Hall over the summer and will perform October 7 at Lollipop Shoppe in Southeast Portland (with Railing and Cage Mother) and October 10 at Swan Hall in Willamina (with The Chill Hours). Lollipop Shoppe sits near Grand and Morrison by the I-5 onramp, close to late-night Robotaco. Willamina lies near McMinnville at the convergence of Highways 18 and 22, named for settler Willamina Williams and noted for the 1915 Willamina Murder Quilt produced during trials that convicted William Branson and Anna Booth.
