"All the madness going on in Minneapolis sent me down a @lowtheband rabbit hole. Missing Mimi Parker. Carina suggested maybe we cover a song in her and their honor. Merchants of Emotion is in our job description. 'Discovering New and Awful Ways to Treat Each Other' wasn't on my Bingo card for 2026, but here we are. #worldwartres #civilwardeux #smalldickenergy."
"The congregation can't make up its mind/ Incarceration creeps up from behind/ The implication is its own device/ In the middle of a salient fight."
Puscifer recorded a cover of Low's "Congregation" and posted a studio video featuring Maynard James Keenan, Carina Round, and Mat Mitchell. Keenan said unrest in Minneapolis prompted a return to Low's music and that the cover was suggested to honor Mimi Parker. Keenan described Low as a huge influence on his music. Low were an indie-rock band from Minnesota active from 1993 until Parker's 2022 death from ovarian cancer. The song's lyrics reference congregation and incarceration. Puscifer's album Normal Isn't arrives February 6, with a North American spring tour beginning March 20 in Las Vegas.
