Cori Broadus and fiancé Wayne Duece welcomed daughter Codi Dreaux in March 2025. Codi was born at 25 weeks and spent the majority of her life in the NICU before coming home earlier this year. Broadus experienced HELLP syndrome during pregnancy and required early delivery. Broadus posted a black-and-white photo of her and Codi and wrote, "Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi," then added grieving captions including "You were supposed to bury me. Not me bury you, Codi." Duece posted images expressing deep sorrow and a sense of disbelief. The parents did not disclose a cause of death.
