Jalen Suggs delivered a 25-point first half while matching Jalen Brunson before exiting the NBA Cup semifinal against the New York Knicks with a left hip injury in the third quarter. Suggs attempted to play through the injury but was in visible discomfort afterward and struggled to walk out of the locker room. Suggs said he tried to keep playing and acknowledged uncertainty about the injury, stating that the team will determine what it is. Suggs has a history of missed time, including at least 20 games missed in three of his first four seasons and recent knee surgery.
