Mavericks trade Anthony Davis to Wizards, sources say - ESPN
"The Dallas Mavericks are trading 10-time All-Star Anthony Davis to the Washington Wizards as part of an eight-player blockbuster, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania. The Mavs will receive Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, Marvin Bagley III, two first-round draft picks and three second-rounders, sources told Charania. The Wizards also acquired Jaden Hardy, D'Angelo Russell and Dante Exum in the trade, according to sources."
"The Mavs have been exploring the market for Davis, 32, since former general manager Nico Harrison was fired in early November, a decision made in large part because of the fan backlash from last year's trade that sent perennial MVP contender Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers for a package headlined by Davis. Davis, who has been sidelined with a hand injury since early January, is averaging 20.1 points and 11.1 rebounds in 20 games this season."
