LeBron James, 41, is expected to finish the season with the Los Angeles Lakers and holds a no-trade clause requiring his approval for any trade. James will finish his 23rd season in Los Angeles and is not seeking a trade. The Lakers have fallen from No. 2 to No. 6 in the Western Conference, and relations between James and acting governor Jeanie Buss are described as strained. James has not decided whether to retire this summer and noted the Lakers' game in Cleveland could be his last in Northeast Ohio. Several contender teams are pursuing star-level players, but James is not expected to join them this season.
