Tyler Herro will be out at the start of the season with a foot injury, leaving the Heat without one of their top offensive players. Miami has finished in the bottom third offensively for three straight seasons, so replacing Herro's production will be an early challenge. The team will need collective contributions, with Bam Adebayo, Norman Powell and Andrew Wiggins expected to assume larger roles. Nikola Jovic emerged as a surprising candidate to benefit, with strengths in ball-handling, transition, passing, scoring and downhill attacking. Jovic has durability questions, never playing more than 46 games and missing 27 games last season with a fractured hand, but he offers play-finishing ability at 6-foot-10.
