The real Andrew Luck started at quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts for two seasons, winning 2018 Comeback Player of the Year, and retired in August 2019; the parody account retired simultaneously with a final line about holstering a sidearm. When Luck was hired as Stanford's football general manager in November 2024, the account's owner revived the page, which now approaches 500,000 followers.
