Fifty-two players advanced in the seniors category for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026 after the seniors screening committee trimmed 162 original nominees. Eligible players last could have appeared in a professional football game in the 2000 season. A blue-ribbon committee will reduce the list through three more stages until three finalists remain for voting conducted before the Super Bowl in February. Notable nominees include Roger Craig, Ken Anderson, Steve Tasker, Maxie Baughan, Jim Tyrer and Art Powell. The list spans quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, offensive and defensive linemen, linebackers, defensive backs and special teams.
