Callahan selected Hardegree because of his experience as interim offensive coordinator for nine games with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023; Holz was last an offensive coordinator at UNLV in 2022. Callahan is 3-17 as Titans head coach and described the move as allowing him to better perform head-coach responsibilities and be more present. The Titans are 0-3 and have been outscored 94-51 this season. Holz and Tyke Tolbert will continue red-zone planning, Randy Jordan will handle the screen game, and Callahan, Hardegree and Holz will remain in game-plan meetings with quarterback Cam Ward.
