Marc-Andre Fleury, 40, concluded his NHL career with a third-period shutout in a 4-1 preseason win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. He stopped all eight shots he faced and went 2-for-3 in the practice shootout in his first game back with the Penguins in over 3,000 days. Fleury received chants, a standing ovation, was named the game's first star, and left the ice for the last time. He thanked fans, noted fatigue and hip soreness, and did not reverse retirement plans. He stood with longtime teammates during the anthem and saluted fans while fist bumping his three children.
