
"CHICAGO The slumping San Jose Sharks could be on the verge of getting a badly needed reinforcement to their lineup. Two weeks after he was first acquired, forward Kiefer Sherwood was a full participant in the Sharks' hourlong practice in Chicago on Tuesday as he skated on the team's top line alongside Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith. Sherwood has been with the Sharks since their road trip began early last week."
"Sherwood, 30, was acquired from the Vancouver Canucks on Jan. 19 for two second-round draft picks and AHL defenseman Cole Clayton. The Sharks beat the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers that night and improved to a season-best six games above .500 with a 5-2 win over the Canucks on Jan. 27. The Sharks lost 4-3 to the Edmonton Oilers last Thursday and 3-2 to the Calgary Flames on Saturday."
Kiefer Sherwood practiced fully with the Sharks in Chicago, skating on the top line with Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith. He joined the team during a recent road trip and was reevaluated after a morning skate. Sherwood was acquired from the Vancouver Canucks on Jan. 19 for two second-round draft picks and AHL defenseman Cole Clayton. The Sharks beat the Florida Panthers the night of the trade and won 5-2 over the Canucks on Jan. 27. The team has since dropped three straight games, entering Tuesday three points out of a playoff spot and facing the Colorado Avalanche in Denver.
