"The New York Lottery today announced one second-prize-winning ticket was sold for the Sept. 29 Powerball drawing, making one lucky player a millionaire overnight. The $1 million ticket was sold at East Side Grocery, located at 1422 2nd Ave. in Manhattan, according to lottery officials. The winning numbers are: 1, 3, 27, 60, 65 and red Powerball 16. As of this writing, the identity of the winner has not been revealed."

Powerball numbers are drawn from a field of one to 69 and the red Powerball from one to 26; drawings occur Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. The identity of the winner has not been revealed. Winners must claim prizes within one year of the win. The New York Lottery contributed $3.6 billion in fiscal year 2024-2025 to benefit public schools.
