The New York Knicks are experiencing extensive changes in their coaching staff under newly appointed head coach Mike Brown. Following the dismissal of Tom Thibodeau after a playoff loss, several assistant coaches, including Othella Harrington, Daniel Brady, Dice Yoshimoto, and Nick Thibodeau, have been released. Brown is bringing in his former Sacramento Kings assistants, Charles Allen and Riccardo Fois. Additionally, some former staff from Thibodeau's era will remain, but in reduced capacities, as expectations rise for the 2025-26 season.
The New York Knicks won't retain assistant coaches Othella Harrington, Daniel Brady, Dice Yoshimoto, and assistant video coordinator Nick Thibodeau, nephew of Tom Thibodeau, league sources told @hoopshype. According to @SbondyNBA, Andy Greer is also not returning next season.
Brown is also retaining two members of the Thibodeau era in Maurice Cheeks and Rick Brunson. The elder Brunson will stay in New York in a reduced role instead of having assistant coach duties.
