Scientists warn massive underwater volcano is 'ready' to ERUPT
Briefly

Axial Seamount, located 300 miles off the Oregon coast, is one of the Pacific Northwest's most active volcanoes, currently displaying signs of an imminent eruption. Scientists have set up a camera to livestream the volcano's activity, particularly focusing on a vent called 'Mushroom.' This vent shows signs of dangerously increasing pressure beneath the seafloor, making it likely for the volcano to erupt soon, similar to its last eruption in 2015 which resulted in thousands of earthquakes and significant geological changes. Live streams are available on the Interactive Oceans website four times daily for public viewing.
'The HD video focuses on the 14-foot tall actively venting hot spring deposit called 'Mushroom' located within the ASHES vent field on Axial Seamount.'
'It's at or almost at that inflation threshold where it erupted last time. So, we think it's ready.'
'The volcano sits more than 4,900 feet below the Pacific Ocean's surface and is showing intense signs of an impending eruption as pressure steadily increases beneath the seafloor.'
'They tend to inflate like a balloon in between eruptions. At Axial, the seafloor is actually...''
