Meth, spider monkey, rattlesnakes seized after Bay Area traffic stop, home search
Briefly

During a recent traffic stop in Vallejo, deputies arrested Clifford Vincenty for drug possession, uncovering methamphetamine in his vehicle. Following this, a search of his home revealed additional drugs, cash, and endangered species, including a spider monkey and rattlesnakes. Animal Control intervened, relocating the spider monkey to the Oakland Zoo, where she is receiving medical care and is reported to be in good health. Vincenty faces felony charges and his court appearances are scheduled shortly.
In the next week, the Oakland Zoo's Veterinary staff will perform a CT scan, a more thorough physical exam, and bloodwork to assess organ function and infectious disease status.
Veterinary Hospital staff are taking measures to ensure Violeta's overall wellbeing and have reported that she is doing well in her temporary home where keepers have set up enrichment.
