Furthermore, it has an impressive walk score and has more than 90 dog-friendly activities scattered throughout the city."
"To create its rankings, the team first created a seed list of 150 of the largest cities in the United States by population. From there, it then evaluated how vacation-ready each one is for travelers with dogs using 12 pet-friendly metrics. Those factors include how many accommodations are pet-friendly, the number of things to do with pets, each city's walkability, climate, and access to veterinarian care."

Albuquerque, New Mexico ranked second with 104.90, and Phoenix, Arizona placed third with 103.71. Additional top destinations include San Francisco, Tampa, San Diego, Austin, New York City, Tucson, and Colorado Springs, with Florida cities performing particularly well overall.
