United Airlines is enhancing its in-flight entertainment by partnering with Spotify, providing passengers with free access to over 450 hours of curated playlists, audiobooks, and video podcasts on more than 130,000 seat-based entertainment screens. This features notable shows like Good Hang and The Dave Chang Show, without needing a Spotify account. Future updates will enable passengers to log into their accounts for personalized content. Additionally, passengers on Starlink-equipped planes can currently stream Spotify and other services freely during their flights.
"Spotify has a huge audience and people love their content. And now our customers can enjoy it all in a simple and easy way, at 35,000 feet."
"This is the first time it's offered audiobooks and video podcasts onboard an airline, with the United partnership allowing passengers to access Spotify content without creating an account for the streaming service."
