Research reveals that thousands of men participate in Telegram groups selling hacking and surveillance services for harassment. An analysis of 2.8 million messages from 16 Telegram communities in Italy and Spain showed extensive posting of abusive material, with over 24,000 members involved. Victims often include ordinary women, and the majority of violence is directed at individuals known to the perpetrators. Calls for stricter regulation of Telegram are emphasized.
