An Upstate measles outbreak in South Carolina has reached 126 outbreak-related cases and 129 total cases this year, with 15 new cases since Tuesday. A total of 303 people are in quarantine and 13 are in isolation. Quarantine requires staying home for 21 days after exposure; unvaccinated students exposed to cases are barred from attending school. Isolation applies to infectious individuals up to four days after rash onset. Eleven schools have been affected, with six schools reporting immunization rates in the low 80s. Statewide immunization has fallen to 90%, below the 95% herd-immunity threshold.
