"We look forward to supporting the creation of next-generation products and helping to match talented New Yorkers with open roles at these growing companies,"
"Facilitating growth for small and young businesses is central to the Yard's mission of advancing innovation, growth, and community simultaneously."
The Navy Yard Development Corporation and the New York City Economic Development Corporation are seeking design firms to redevelop the ninth floor of Building 303 into subdivided space for growing companies. The loft-style industrial floor features high ceilings, factory-style windows, concrete floors, and East River views. Plans call for eight suites, a research-and-development lab or clean room, and shared amenities. The project will prioritize locally based enterprises and minority- and women-owned businesses. Proposals are due October 30. The redevelopment completes a long-term adaptation of historic Navy Yard buildings and aims to support deep-tech job growth.
