"After tossing six innings of one-run ball against the Dodgers on Sunday, McDonald recorded his first career win as he struck out a career-high 10 as he allowed three runs over a career-high seven innings as the Giants beat the Colorado Rockies 6-3 on Friday night at Oracle Park. McDonald became the Giants' first rookie to toss at least seven innings and record at least 10 strikeouts in a single outing since Chris Heston did so on two occasions in 2015,"
"Moments after being named this year's Willie Mac Award winner, Willy Adames hit a two-run shot in the bottom of the first for his 29th home run of the season. With two games remaining, Adames is just one homer away from becoming the first Giant to hit 30 homers in a single season since Barry Bonds in 2004. Along with Adames, Heliot Ramos hit his 21st home run of the season."

Willy Adames hit his 29th homer, Heliot Ramos hit his 21st, and Matt Chapman notched the 1,000th hit of his career.
