Partnering with developer Rick Caruso, the reopening aims to rejuvenate the local economy and encourage revitalization in the community. Walker's store will be a focal point in Caruso's Palisades Village shopping center set to launch in mid-2026, symbolizing hope and confidence for community recovery amidst losses from the recent disaster.
"I hope that this serves as the catalyst for other retailers and brands and big businesses and small businesses to come back to the Palisades, Malibu, Altadena and Pasadena," Walker said in an interview.
"This is a really big deal. When a retailer like Elyse opens a store in a community, that's a powerful voice of confidence that there's a bright future here," Caruso said.
