"Ruby Hill Rail Yard was created in 2007 as a joint effort between Denver Parks and Recreation and Winter Park Resort to offer an urban winter sports experience and has been open every year since. Ski and snowboard rentals are offered on weekends from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or until sunset. Sledding is only allowed in the designated tubing area, not in the Rail Yard."

Ruby Hill Rail Yard was created in 2007 through a partnership between Denver Parks and Recreation and Winter Park Resort and has operated annually since. Ski and snowboard rentals are offered weekends from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or until sunset. Sledding is only permitted in the designated tubing area. Ruby Hill Park is open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., but Rail Yard lighting is temporarily unavailable because of electrical work, so visitors should avoid night use. Volunteers are on-site during daylight for maintenance and assistance.
