Stowe Mountain Resort marks the 90th anniversary of its Ski & Ride School, which began organized instruction in 1935 and pioneered snowsports education in Vermont's Green Mountains. The school evolved from a few passionate instructors to a world-class team serving guests of all ages and abilities. Anniversary celebrations include an instructor recognition event during the Fresh Tracks banquet, an Epic Pass Holder party, First Tracks access, and commemorative items such as a custom-designed print, anniversary pins, and a special 90th logo. Historical roots trace to the 1934-35 hiring of Jim Trachier, who offered ten-lesson packages for $4, starting organized ski instruction at Stowe.
