Mikel Arteta warned Arsenal players that prioritising the World Cup over club commitments would create a big problem. He rejected any approach that places international tournaments above securing a place in the Arsenal team. Ethan Nwaneri has made 50 appearances for Arsenal at 18 years old but has started only three games this season, with none in the Premier League. Arteta defended giving Nwaneri early chances and emphasised team-first priorities for the rest of the season.
