Lucas Holer equalised for Freiburg, and Dortmund held on with ten men to secure a draw. Kobel accepted responsibility for the pass and confirmed Bellingham faces suspension. Dortmund remain third, missed a chance to cut the gap to Bayern, and have won four of their last ten matches. Dortmund will host Borussia Monchengladbach next before the winter break.
