Nottingham Forest lost 1-0 at home to Sunderland, extending their winless run to five matches under Ange Postecoglou. Omar Alderete scored the decisive first-half goal as Sunderland continued their strong return to the top flight. Forest created numerous chances, with Chris Wood coming close while Robin Roefs produced several fine saves to deny Omari Hutchinson, Elliot Anderson and Wood. Postecoglou expressed frustration at poor finishing and acknowledged supporters' disappointment after boos at full-time. Forest sit 14th and have not won since the opening day, while Sunderland are unbeaten in four Premier League games and sit in the top four.
