Sutton name Agutter as head coach
"profound determination to retain him"
"I'm thoroughly looking forward to the challenge ahead, and I will be working incredibly hard to help put a team on the pitch that the football club and its supporters can be proud of,"
"I have no doubt we are going to have plenty of fun on the ride ahead."
Chris Agutter has been appointed permanent head coach of Sutton United, succeeding Steve Morison after his departure by mutual consent on 17 September. Sutton were 22nd in the National League when Morison left, with Jon Meeney taking interim charge. Agutter has left National League South side Worthing to take charge at Gander Green Lane while the U's remain in the relegation zone. Worthing reportedly showed a profound determination to retain him, which delayed the move. Agutter led Worthing to fourth in National League South last season and expressed enthusiasm for the challenge ahead. Sutton face Braintree Town next.
