'Thank you for the memories' - England's team behind the team
Briefly

England's Euro 2025 tournament has been a challenging emotional experience for players Ella Toone and Beth Mead, both of whom have lost a parent recently. Their families have been steadfast supporters during this time. Toone's father passed away from prostate cancer, while Mead lost her mother to ovarian cancer. Their loved ones have united in celebrating the team's achievements together, experiencing intense emotions during games, especially during crucial moments like celebration after a late quarter-final goal against Italy. The collective bonding of families has provided support through grief and competitive pressures.
