"Los Angeles firefighters extinguished a small blaze outside Jimmy Kimmel's Hollywood Hills home, as controversy swirled over his return to the airwaves following a brief hiatus prompted by remarks about Charlie Kirk and the discourse about his assassination."
"Kimmel's temporary suspension, announced by Disney-owned ABC earlier this month, was triggered by comments he made about the ongoing discourse swirling around the late Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University earlier this month."
"We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it, Kimmel said in monologue on Sept. 15."
"Per a preliminary investigation, it appeared to be an electrical ire, sparked under the stairs outside of Kimmel's home."
Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded around 7 a.m. to a small rubbish fire abutting the side of Jimmy Kimmel's Hollywood Hills residence on the 1600 block of Marmont Avenue. About half a dozen firefighters extinguished the flames quickly and no injuries were reported. A preliminary investigation indicated the blaze appeared to be an electrical ire sparked under the stairs outside the home. The incident occurred amid controversy over Kimmel's recent temporary suspension by Disney-owned ABC after comments related to the discourse surrounding the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk at a Utah university.
