Broadcasting and Cable held its annual Hall of Fame Awards dinner in New York City to honor television figures who made a significant impact. Michael Gelman, longtime executive producer of Live with Kelly and Mark, received a Hall of Fame honor and attended with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. Ripa called Gelman a treasure and the most devoted team member for many decades and said the honor was long overdue. Consuelos praised Gelman for making the work look easy while maintaining the show's relevance and top status. Gelman said the show is his legacy after more than 40 years. ESPN Chairman James Pitaro received the Chairman's Award, and actress Sheryl Lee Ralph received the Humanitarian Award for Abbott Elementary.
