"Following in the footsteps of my literary hero E.M. Forster and being in India gifted me the sense of being more alive - it's been a beautiful experience. I still can't believe that I had to walk barefoot through Varanasi to find spiritual enlightenment while Rylan went to a yoga class, but what I've taken from the art and the people here has changed my life"
"What's terrifying is that people generate AI deepfakes about us getting married."
"They're really frightening. And also, I think I heard that someone had cut and pasted me into the actual pictures of Rylan's first wedding,"
Rob Rinder, a 47-year-old barrister and TV personality, co-hosts Rob and Rylan's Passage to India with Rylan Clark, following their previous Italy series. The new series explores India’s ancient wisdom, art and culture and retraces the journey of E.M. Forster. Rinder confirms a close, genuine friendship with Rylan, saying they speak often and work closely when filming. Rinder expressed alarm over realistic AI deepfakes showing him marrying Rylan and reported that someone had digitally inserted him into photos from Rylan's first wedding. The series’ final episode airs tonight on BBC Two.
