Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone of South Park do not shy away from controversial subjects. During a Comic-Con appearance, they discussed an incident involving Comedy Central seeking to censor Trump’s micropenis in the Season 27 premiere. Parker insisted that their vision included showing the penis without blurring. Stone suggested a compromise involving adding eyes to the genitalia as a character, which led to extensive discussions with many people over several days.
To the consternation of their network Comedy Central, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have never shied away from touching the third rail - whether by depicting the Prophet Muhammad or Donald Trump's anatomy.
As Parker and Stone revealed during an appearance at Comic-Con on Thursday, Comedy Central actually sought to censor Trump's micropenis on the show's Season 27 premiere.
They're like, 'OK, but we're gonna blur the penis.' And I'm like, 'No, you're not gonna blur the penis,' Parker recalled.
If we put eyes on the penis, we won't blur it, Stone explained. And then that was a whole conversation with a lot of grown-up people for about four fucking days.
