"The first two nights were spent at Kimpton Armory Hotel, which is situated in downtown Bozeman, making it easy to walk to a lot of places on this list. Our one-bedroom suite was massive, perfect for spreading out after a long travel day and hiking in town. We had breakfast at onsite restaurant Fielding's both mornings (order the huckleberry smoothie) and enjoyed the hotel bars thoroughly."
"Our second two nights were spent at Field & Stream Lodge Bozeman, a newly-openedhotel that brings the great outdoors in. Our room was compact but perfectly designed, featuring a long sideboard that was part desk, part dresser and plenty of storage hooks. The fixtures throughout are so chic - my husband said they reminded him of Schoolhouse - and the whole property is adorned with vintage covers from Field & Stream magazine, which is such a vibe."
Travel to Bozeman in mid-September included a week split between two hotels offering contrasting experiences. The downtown Kimpton Armory Hotel provided a massive one-bedroom suite, onsite Fielding's breakfasts (huckleberry smoothie recommended), and vibrant bars such as the rooftop Shy Shed with fire pits and the subterranean Tune Up whiskey bar hosting live music; the Walnut St. Revival cocktail was a favorite. The Field & Stream Lodge presented compact, well-designed rooms with a multifunctional sideboard, chic fixtures, vintage Field & Stream covers, and a notably deep indoor pool. Meals and drinks also featured at Dry Fly Saloon and evening games and nightcaps at The Honey Hole.
