"While many hotels have security guards and someone at a front desk keeping an eye on the property 24/7, Airbnbs do not," Cheryl Nelson said, highlighting safety concerns of vacation rentals.
"Staying at a short-term rental property is generally safe," stated Jeremy Prout. "Travelers should understand the risk of the neighborhood and take general precautions similar to any accommodation."
