"Rail's history is explored in a 'Railway Firsts' coach, highlighting landmark moments in rail's development. Alongside will be a 'Wonderlab on Wheels', inviting visitors to test their engineering skills with hands-on exhibits. Next is the 'Your Railway Future' carriage, which showcases some of the lesser-known roles in rail and encourages people to join the railway to shape the next 200 years. The final coach is a 'Partner Zone', offering an exhibition space."
"Overall, it's a very interactive exhibition, very family-friendly, and in its way shows off some of the challenges and complexities of the railway in a style designed to inspire rather than be daunting. As a display, it might be a bit thin for the "men who ride trains", but there's plenty for everyone else. Free tickets are now available for visits when the train is at Paddington and Victoria stations."
The travelling Railway 200 exhibition train returns to London in December with free tickets available. The train comprises four carriages spanning past, present and future railway themes. One coach, 'Railway Firsts', highlights landmark moments in rail development. A 'Wonderlab on Wheels' provides hands-on engineering exhibits for practical experimentation. The 'Your Railway Future' carriage showcases lesser-known rail roles and encourages people to join the industry to shape the next 200 years. A 'Partner Zone' offers exhibition space for collaborators. The event is highly interactive and family-friendly, designed to inspire visitors while demonstrating railway challenges and complexities. Paddington hosts 8–13 December; Victoria hosts 18–20 December.
