Yajaira Castro Mendez, a 46-year-old woman from Ilford, London, was reported missing on May 31. Her body was discovered a week later in the Bolderwood area of the New Forest in Hampshire. In connection with her death, a 51-year-old man named Juan Toledo has been charged with murder and was presented at Barkingside Magistrates' Court. Investigating officer Det Insp Jay Gregory expressed condolences to Yajaira's family and urged anyone with further information to come forward to assist with the investigation.

Juan Toledo, 51, from south-east London, appeared at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on Friday charged with her murder and was remanded into custody.
