Man admits 'sinister' harassment of couple following death of Mayo fan Joe Deacy in 2017

Brendan Rowland, a friend of Joe Deacy, pleaded guilty to the harassment of Peter and Anne Byrne. He had sent them cards bearing the name 'Joe'. Joe Deacy was found unconscious in the driveway of the Byrnes' home in Co Mayo on August 12, 2017, at 6:45 am. Deacy, a 21-year-old from St Albans, was later pronounced dead as a result of his condition.
Brendan Rowland admitted sending cards signed from 'Joe' to the owners of the house where tragic Mayo GAA fan Joe Deacy was found unconscious.
