Moment burglar who stole 24,000 of wine from London celebrity restaurant is caught in the act

Iuliu Kubola, 61, stole 73 bottles of wine valued at £24,000 from Piazza Italiana. He was captured on CCTV loading the wine into a wheelie bin and then into a tuk-tuk. After returning to steal three more bottles worth £680, he was identified and stopped by City of London police. Kubola also caused £1,425 in damage. He pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary, demonstrating the serious impact of such crimes on businesses and communities.
On June 15, Kubola returned to the same eatery - which has entertained the likes of EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa, Charlotte Crosby and Sam Faiers - to steal a further three wine bottles worth around 680.
Iuliu Kubola is stopped by PC Jordan Felstead on Cornhill. After making further enquiries, PC Felstead discovered Kubola was a suspect connected to a spate of burglaries.
