The London Ambulance Service treated 30 people for chemical inhalation with 11 patients rushed to hospital for further treatment. It is understood those treated were members of staff and no customers were affected, as the store had yet to open to the public."

Thirty people were treated for chemical inhalation; 11 were taken to hospital and six remain undergoing further tests with no injuries believed to be life-threatening. Those treated were staff members; the store had not opened to customers. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus carried out systematic sweeps and found elevated carbon monoxide readings throughout the building. The building was ventilated and further sweeps conducted to ensure no remaining elevated levels. Ambulance resources including HART and Advanced Paramedic Practitioners attended the scene.
