Police launched a murder investigation after officers responding to a welfare check found the body of a 39-year-old woman at an address on Old Brompton Road, Earls Court, west London, at 11:15 GMT. Work is ongoing to identify the woman and inform her next of kin. No arrests have been made. Investigators are conducting urgent enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the death and have appealed for anyone with information to contact the police on 101 or to report anonymously to Crimestoppers. A police cordon remains in place and residents should expect an increased police presence.
