A friend also paid tribute, he wrote: "We had great chats over the years at soccer matches, when he was following Keith's exploits on the pitch and also over the last number of years I would meet him at Athletics Events, following his Daughter Sharlene all over the Country and Internationally."
Earlier this year, his daughter Sharlene competed in the mixed 4x400m relays in the first round at the World Relays in Guangzhou, China.
Sharlene competed in Michael Johnson's new athletics event and earned an impressive $15,000 after coming sixth in the long sprints category with a time of in 51.12s.
