The Kremlin has firmly rejected allegations of Russian involvement in recent arson attacks linked to UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, labeling such claims as "ludicrous." UK security officials are reportedly investigating the incidents, which involved three fires occurring in May. Charges have been filed against three individuals, including two Ukrainians and a Romanian, relating to these attacks. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov emphasized the UK government’s tendency to accuse Russia without substantiated evidence, highlighting strained relations between the nations amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
London tends to suspect Russia of [involvement in] all the bad things happening in Great Britain. As a rule, all these suspicions are groundless and not backed up with any evidence.
The three men, two Ukrainian nationals and a Romanian man, have been charged as part of a police investigation into the attacks.
