A car was driven at members of the public outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogues in Crumpsall, Manchester, and a man was stabbed. Four members of the public sustained injuries from the vehicle and stab wounds. Greater Manchester Police were alerted at 9.31am and specialist firearms officers arrived within three minutes. GMP declared PLATO and a major incident at 9.37am and officers fired shots at 9.38am, with one man shot and believed to be the offender. Paramedics arrived at 9.41am and are treating the injured. Members of the public were asked to avoid the area.
