Teenager dies in single-vehicle crash in Kildare as motorcyclist left seriously injured in separate incident

On June 5, Gardaí in Co Kildare are seeking witnesses to two serious crashes that occurred within one hour of each other. The first crash involved a pick-up truck on Barrettstown Road, where a male teenager died, and another teenager was injured. The second incident involved a collision between a car and two motorcycles. One motorcyclist sustained serious injuries while the other suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both roads are closed for investigations with Gardaí requesting dash-cam footage and information from the public.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to both crashes which happened within less than an hour of each other on Thursday evening.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 7.45pm and 8.15pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
Gardaí are also appealing for witnesses following a serious crash which occurred yesterday evening, Thursday, June 5, involving a car and two motorcycles.
The road remains closed at this time pending examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators with local diversions in place.
