Mourad Aid, a 41-year-old man, was sentenced to three years and four months in prison for stealing a suitcase containing $250,000 worth of jewellery and designer bags from Brittny Button outside St Pancras station. The theft occurred as the couple returned from Paris, and he was quickly apprehended due to surveillance footage. In addition to this theft, Aid admitted to another similar offense. He has been living illegally in the UK and faces deportation after his prison sentence. The police praised the rapid response to the crime, highlighting the importance of public safety.
The couple, who have two children, live in Calabasas, California. They bought their Spanish-style mansion in 2021 and tied the knot in March.
