"Charlie's death was a senseless loss of life and he is missed by many. He was a real family man, and leaves behind three children and five grandchildren."
Charlie Prodromou, 63, was attacked following a disturbance at the Watch House on Lewisham High Street at about 20:30 GMT on 1 March. He was treated at the scene but later died in hospital. Paul Tallant, 43, from Eltham, punched Prodromou twice in the head after a dispute with pub staff and was jailed for 10 years and six months for manslaughter. Danny Donovan, 40, from Southwark, was found holding a knife, pleaded guilty to affray and possession of a knife, and was jailed for two years and two months. Detective Chief Inspector Craig Magee said thoughts remained with Prodromou's family and described the death as a senseless loss; Prodromou leaves three children and five grandchildren.
